The Convention Palace was one of the projects that formed part of Bethlehem’s preparations for welcoming the new millennium. The architecture was synchronized with nearby sites, namely the Murad Castle and museum and the historic Solomon’s Pools, thus preserving the historic and archaeological nature of the area. The premises, which is located on the southern outskirts of Bethlehem, is home to a huge auditorium, an exhibition gallery, a theater, meeting rooms and a cafeteria. The Palace hosts several important local and international events during the year, and has managed to maintain international standards of hospitality. The area in and around the Convention Palace receives thousands of visitors every year who come to explore the history and heritage of the place and enjoy the medley of events and activities, especially the programs implemented during the summer.
