Despite the difficult circumstances confronted by Palestinians, especially youth, yet it is still possible for them to create art and discover splendor amidst the wreckage. This newly established art gallery is an independent artistic and cultural space located in Hosh De’ik in the Old City of Bethlehem, close to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity. It is a space for both Palestinian and foreign artists to exhibit their various works of art that contribute to the enhancement and enrichment of the Palestinian art scene. The museum features various forms of art techniques on canvas and through art installations made from different materials, including wood and cement. Since Bethlehem was nominated to be the Arab Capital of Culture in 2020, the gallery will be an added value to the Bethlehem cultural and artistic offer. The first exhibition held at the gallery entitled “Bethlehem, Kaman o Kaman,” featured over 20 Palestinian artists whose inspiration stems from their fascination with Bethlehem and its captivating history. Other art includes the works of departed Palestinian artists Jabra Ibrahim Jabra, Hasan Hourani and Adnan Zubaidy. The Gallery, which is located on the rooftop, has a spectacular view of the city. It also includes a gift shop featuring the artwork of young Palestinian artists, from jewelry, clothing, photographs and handcrafted items, to name a few, and a cozy café.
